Thanks for this advice- my computer has been running slowly for some time now and I had just assumed that the problem was down to its age and that nothing could be done. Like Betty I followed your recommendations and the performance of my PC has improved dramatically. I think the issue was that my security was not fully up to date and rectifying this was quite simple. I had just never realised that it could affect processing speed. Cheers
